Applied Mathematics on Science and Engineering
Author Guidelines
Applied Mathematics on Science and Engineering is an international, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research in applied and computational mathematics with strong relevance to scientific and engineering applications. The journal emphasizes mathematical rigor, clarity, and reproducibility.
Aim and Scope
The journal publishes original contributions that apply mathematical theory, modeling, and computation to problems arising in science and engineering.
Areas include (but are not limited to):
• Differential equations and dynamical systems
• Mathematical modeling in physical, biological, and engineering sciences
• Numerical analysis and scientific computing
• Optimization and operations research
• Control theory
• Fractional calculus and integral equations
• Computational mechanics and fluid dynamics
• Stochastic processes and uncertainty quantification
• Data-driven and computational mathematical methods
Manuscripts lacking substantial mathematical content are not considered.
Types of Articles
AMSE accepts the following manuscript types:
• Original Research Articles
• Review and Survey Articles
• Short Communications
• Special Issue Articles
Submission Process
• Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online submission system.
• Initial submission: PDF format is acceptable.
• After acceptance: Authors must submit the final manuscript in editable LaTeX (preferred).
o Main .tex file
o Bibliography file (.bib if used)
o Figures in original format (.eps, .png, .jpg)
• Ensure that the submitted LaTeX files compile correctly without errors.
• Non-LaTeX Users: Upon acceptance, our journal staff will assist in converting and preparing the final LaTeX formatted version for publication.
Language and Style
• Manuscripts must be written in clear, concise English.
• Either British or American spelling may be used consistently.
• Authors are encouraged to ensure grammatical and stylistic accuracy prior to submission.
Manuscript Structure
Manuscripts should be organized in the following order:
• Title
• Author names and affiliations
• Abstract (150–250 words)
• Keywords (3–6)
• MSC 2020 Classification Codes
• Introduction
• Preliminaries / Mathematical Background
• Main Results and Methods
• Proofs / Numerical Analysis / Algorithms
• Applications or Simulations (if applicable)
• Conclusion
• Acknowledgments (if any)
• Funding Information
• Conflict of Interest
• References
Figures and Tables
• Must be embedded in the main document and also uploaded as high-resolution separate files.
• Use standard file formats (e.g., TIFF, JPEG, PNG for images; Excel for tables if needed).
• Include clear legends and labels.
References
• References must be formatted in AMS (American Mathematical Society) style.
• All references must be complete, accurate, and relevant.
• Journal titles should follow standard abbreviations.
• DOI numbers should be included where available.
